Do you sometimes wake up with random ideas? And your heart is all in before you’ve had time to think it through? That’s how I woke up the other day. My face was sleepy, but my heart was wide awake. This was the idea: Read through all the sermon notes from the sermons that Pastor Joseph Prince has preached this year, the year of Hazon Vision. Not only read, though. Study. Meditate. Create visuals. Write down the Scripture references. 

All in

Before I was properly awake, I was all in! Super excited, in fact. What a brilliant idea, I thought. In fact, it’s so brilliant that I know it didn’t come from me. It felt like Christmas and birthday all at once. You know, the kind of excitement that a child has? The “I can hardly wait to get started” – feeling? And I could literally not wait! I jumped out of bed, found the sermon notes on the Joseph Prince app – and went for a deep dive for hours and hours.

As I was reading the notes from the last sermon of last year and the first of this year, I had this strong desire to piece it together, to really catch what Pastor Prince is seeing. To really discern what he is saying. To be honest, it feels like I’m only scratching the surface, and yet the surface is so rich! But I know there’s more. And I know I’ll be finding treasures. It’s so exciting!!

I don’t even know how many sermons Pastor Prince has preached this year. But I know there are many. We’ll find out. 

So grateful

I must say, I’m so, so grateful for my pastor. To think of the many hours of preparation that has gone into this, week in and week out. To love us. Feed us. Minister to us. Reveal Jesus to us. Strengthen us. In the midst of a pandemic. To a people so in need of comfort, direction, light, hope and healing. To help us see beyond the natural. See what God sees.
